Okay folks, welcome to my 1st blog for Blank bikes 2012. What a great start to a year – a brand-new website, fresh bike designs and a whole summer waiting to session with good friends. I’m really excited about this year and what fun it brings. Okay, this is what I’ve been doing in January 2012.
The start of this month after partying for Jesus’ birthday, (see photo – even Jesus loves Blank bikes). So the start of New Year I hung out with some of my BMX mates, good times all around, so with the New Year I wrote my famous new year’s resolution list. Everyone jokes about my list and the sub-lists within lists – it’s pretty funny OCD I think. Anyways my 1st resolution was to RIDE MORE! (If this is possible). If I’m not working I’m Rolling Free, I think that’s a Johnny Cash song (yes it is!!). And within this list there’s subparagraphs with tricks and targets I want to meet this year, so I’ve called my shots, I’ve got to commit and send it. My 2nd target is to take more photos of BMX and my mates BMX antics, just good banter and to set up more shots for myself for blank bikes so I’m training a friend how to use my camera.

I’ve been riding with one of my good mates, Ben Keegan – we have been sessioning Newquay skate park and some of Newquay street spots (see photos). Luckily January’s whether as been quite mild without rain, just cold which I can deal with, so this month we’ve been sessioning a mud bank to wall ride – god I love this place! I tried a few flares but seem to land on my ass a lot, although I pulled a wicked Canadian foot jam on the wall, hopefully photos will look good – fingers crossed, also I’ve been sending some downside foot plants, hopefully I will get them fully stretched, watch this space for photos. What else have I been sessioning? I’ve tried a few downside whips to almost snapping my legs in half, not fun at all.
3rd on my list was more tattoos – yes I want more tattoos, my mate has just started so I gave him my leg! Eek, I think that’s it for now so I will keep you posted at the end of this month.
