Hello folks

In the month of February/March I’ve been riding weekends as work commitments are full on at the moment, as I’ve just got a new job. I work for a financial solutions company so I guess I work in the financial sector!!! Which always makes me laugh a BMXER in a suit!!, you have just got to love it, but it is pretty hard-core in the cutthroat industry of finance!!!!!!!, long hours good bonus! Your mind has to be razor-sharp to be ahead at this game, but this job does make me smile.
Apart from that I’ve been riding vert at hawk and scouting out some street spots for a photo shoot for advert, I think the I have found a place weather permitting. As for design work & photography I’ve got a few weddings lined up, easy money really and just a few leaflets and business cards, mmmmm roll on spring, which brings me to my next topic Valentine’s Day!! This day sucks I all ways seem to lose a lot of money, this year I sent a card to my girlfriend, which said as this is a day of love I’ve gone to the skate park x, for some bromance x you can come too x (who said love is dead!!!!!)

March was pretty much the same as February just work, work and more work with very little play, which sucks and as the weather keeps promising sunshine, and we get rain so all I get to ride is weekends. At least it is light nights which is all good now. Next month will be the Mont Hawke jam which is good for all the locals, see report soon.

Ok, riding is still slim as I got married on 24th march. The new Mrs J banned me from my bike in the weeks leading up to the big day as she wasn’t prepared for a smashed up Ben to be waiting for her at the altar. haha
The wedding went well, really well, what a day!! My friend Ash and Blank team rider Seb were my joint best men and did an amazing job. Their speech will go down in history (a bit like the “prague” stag do that were not talking about).

Right now I’m sat at the bar, next to the beach catching up with a few things while in the sun of St Vincent on my honeymoon. The place is mint, few celebs knocking about. My new wife pointed out to me that I was fighting over the last bacon with Alexandra Burke this morning….who ever she is….

I cant wait till I’m home so that I can get back on the case. I just spoke to Patrick Guimez who’s building the jumps at Xfest, they look huge!! Still cant believe this is to become my local spot!! so pumped!!

Anyway, I need another beer so the laptops going back in its bag and I’m guna chill!!

Well I’m back on my bike, I’ve been riding everyday I cant get enough of it, luckily the weather’s been reasonably good so I’ve been able to ride outdoors, although I have had a few evening sessions at Corby.
I’m very much looking forward to XFest, big dirt jumps, cars and chicks! What more could you want?

Anyways I’m going to carry on easing myself back into riding and hopefully be ready to ride XFest, hope to see everyone there!
