As much as I would like to say that I’d been here and there riding, I simply haven’t. I ventured out to Adrenaline Alley and not only was it FREEZING but it was packed!! The jump box line was like a constant and endless train. It looked good to start with but after 2hrs of trying to squeeze in between all the snakes and ferrets I packed up and went home. Total time riding my BMX in January – 2hrs!! Lame!

I have been busy with X-Fest. I’ve been working a lot of aspects for the event and it’s getting huge. I was so conscious to make sure that the BMX dirt was epic. Good news is I’ve been working with Patrick Guimez and we’ve managed to work the first stop of Lords of Dirt to be at Xfest. I can’t tell you just how excited I am about this!! Also to fill the void of no BMX I’ve recently purchased a Honda CR250 motoX bike. It’s a bit wild but easier to ride in the freezing cold. Amazing how far you can jump them with no effort, so different to the bikes I am used to!!

Well firstly a HUGE thanks goes out to all of the guys at Blank for producing such an amazing new site and putting so much effort into the new parts. They are all incredible but the Blank Select range is really World class.

Now, Happy New Year to everyone, I hope yours has started as well as mine.

For Christmas and New Year me and my girlfriend decided to go away on a surf trip for a month to Sri Lanka, and what a way to start the year.

Now this did mean a real lack of riding other than a bit of part testing before I left, but where the riding stopped the surfing began. I surfed pretty much every day for 3 weeks solid in just a pair of board shorts!!! The waves were too perfect, the water was too hot and the beers were too cold… that’s about the extent of my moaning, and pretty much all I have had to moan about.

We did have a week off of the surf to travel a little and join a pilgrimage to the famous Adams Peak… this meant walking at 2am up 4,500 steps to the summit of Adams Peak to watch the sun rise, then after watching that that walking 4,500 steps all the way back down, and with knees like mine, it was a tough ordeal but one I wouldn’t have missed for the world.

I won’t bore you with all the details, but it was one hell of a time, with an epic birthday, crazy New Year and a real hate for a local drink called ARRACK.

Things are looking exciting in 2012, with the new X-Fest happening that sounds like it’s going to be amazing and I trust it will be with the guys at the helm and of course me at the mic. NASS also some exciting ideas in the pipeline so keep an eye out for it all!!!  The summer will soon creep around the corner and its set to be an epic one this year!

BUT….. For now I have some riding to catch up on… see you out there and keep a look out for constant updates…
